WAGC President

Happy New Year Those words are to a song I used to sing at the top of my lungs by Prince. I wonder if the hidden meaning of that song is really about political parties? I propose that we make 1999 the year that more pro-gun candidates are elected to office than other year by working for the political parties that support pro-gun candidates in all races from federal, state, and municipal elections.

WAGC will attempt to track as many political races as possible. Electing pro-gun candidates to office is extremely important in preserving the right to keep and bear arms! Please help us by sending information regarding pro-gun candidates to the WAGC webmaster.

An event happened to me five years ago that dramatically changed my life. I discovered through research that guns don't cause crime. That, in fact, the opposite is true. Guns deter crime. There's no disputing that fact. President Clinton and his "yes" men and women can claim that because of tough new gun laws and more police on the street, there has been a decrease in crime, but we know that the statistics have been consistent: The more gun laws, the more crime. The less gun laws, the less crime. Furthermore, research has proven that as the number of people carrying concealed weapons INCREASES, crime DECREASES . As more and more people carry concealed weapons, crime continues to decline. It's too bad that our national leaders don't have the wisdom of our founding fathers who have consistenly talked about the importance of guns in keeping America safe from enemies, both foreign and domestic. Thank heavens for CITIZENS who believe and heed the wisdom of our founding fathers and who also heed the words of wisdom from modern-day leaders who have spent thousands of hours and time to dispel the myths of gun control being propogated by those who scorn the Second Amendment.

Finding out the truth about gun control has forever changed my life. I'm thankful that I discovered the truth. I feel it has given me strength, and I have also felt a kindred spirit with early American Patriots. Most importantly, I feel a kindred spirit with those of you who are unselfishly giving of your time to preserve the Second Amendment. I think we're all soul mates! I'm feel so lucky to be a part of this movement. I've met some of the finest people I've ever met in my life in the pro-gun movement.

Let's all party like it's 1999. We have a great reason to party this year. We have each other. And gunowners are one of the largest special interest groups in the United States. We just need to flex our muscle a little more--or "shoot our mouths off" a little more. We hope Women Against Gun Control can be of assistance in flexing political muscle and "shooting off our mouths." :)

Best wishes for a very wonderful new year in 1999.
